Our Planning Process

Create A Plan For Your Family’s Future With Our Help

Our Planning Process

You may have many worries and concerns as you approach planning. Fortunately, we have a carefully designed process that makes sure we cover all the issues that affect you and your family. Our process has also been thought out to provide you a positive experience and to minimize the burden and stress on you. Your involvement in that process will primarily consist of four meetings: Vision, Design, Delivery, and Funding Follow-Up.

Vision

At your Vision Meeting, we start by learning about you, your family, and the problems, risks, and opportunities that are before you. We then teach you about the various legal concepts and tools we use to help our clients.  If it appears we have a solution that matches your needs at a price upon which we can agree, we establish our relationship, roles, and responsibilities, and schedule your next meeting.

Design

At your Design Meeting, we continue the learning and education process with diagrams and instruction. We then take you through a series of questions to help you craft a customized plan to address your unique personal and family situation. Don’t worry if you do not have all the answers and information now. We have thought of everything and will help you be thorough in creating a wise plan to secure you throughout your life and bless your loved ones after you are gone.

Delivery

At the Delivery Meeting, we review your documents page-by-page to make sure that we have successfully implemented your instructions from the Design Meeting. At this meeting, you will see how much care we have taken to provide customized solutions to your particular needs. Finally, we review your assets and agree on how they will be correlated to work with your new plan and who will do what to accomplish that.

Funding Follow-Up

Funding is the process of re-titling assets and changing beneficiary designations to work with your new plan. Most law firms just give you a packet of instructions and send you on your way to accomplish this critical step. At The ElderCare Law Firm, we become your partners in the funding process. We take a leadership role and coordinate your support persons, your financial advisor, and our staff to make sure your funding is completed with as little stress and burden on you as possible. Our funding services set The ElderCare Law Firm apart from all other planning services you might be considering.

The Funding Follow-Up Meeting usually takes place several weeks after your Delivery Meeting. At this meeting, you sign the key change documents needed to fund the assets that we are taking responsibility for. We will also check your progress on those assets that you or your financial advisor are handling. At The ElderCare Law Firm You will have the comfort and peace of mind knowing that your plan is being properly implemented.
